Melchizedek & The Holy Spirit

I think of Melchizedek as The Holy Spirit because He has no mother or father. Jesus has a mother and a father.

Melchizedek

The Dead Sea Scrolls are all about Melchizedek, if you can read between the lines. The Thanksgiving Scroll is all about how he died and rose from the dead. He was taken out of Jerusalem.

He was held hostage, beaten, thrown into dark places, tourtured - all you can imagine - and then set on fire. Then he rose from the dead and now is a spirit since his body was destroyed in the fire.

I am reading it now and the section that says:
"This Melchizedek was the king of Salem and priest of God Most High. He met Abraham returning from the defeat of the kings and blessed him. First, his name means 'king of righteousness'; then also, 'king of Salem' means 'king of peace'. Without father or mother, without genealogy, without beginning of days or end of life, like the Son of God he remains a priest forever." (Heb. 7:1-3)

However I don't think the author of Hebrews is being literal here about 'without father or mother' and if he is, it is not backed up anywhere else in the Bible.

I think the meaning here is:
BECAUSE Melchizedek has no KNOWN genealogy (that we know of) it is AS IF he has no mother or father. "He remains a priest forever" meaning he is a righteous priest who has everlasting life as a priest forever. I think these verses are not meant to be taken too literally (not that everlasting life is not literally living forever)

Sue, I am not that clued up on Melchizedek, but I don't think you are correct. Is there any Biblical evidence of what you say about Melchizedek not having a mother or father?
